Texas Prescriber Directory Search

It is essential that the correct prescriber identification be submitted on all prescription claims. Providing accurate information allows Vendor Drug to follow up with prescribers about their prescribing practice, when needed. Inaccurate information runs the risk of an audit exception and causes erroneous data on reports.

Users can search for a prescriber by name with either a specific letter or string of letters. For example, a Last Name search of “Hern” will return records for “Hern” and “Hernandez.” A City search of “A” will return all prescribers with listings in city beginning with A (Abbott through Arlington).

Support for submission of the Prescriber National Provider Identifier (NPI) will be implemented at a later date.

Notes:

If the search does not produce the expected results, re-enter the criteria, making it less specific (i.e. enter just the first letter of the item you are searching for).

Sometimes web browsers show old data in search results. To ensure that your web browser shows the most up-to-date version of a webpage, please do the following:

• Hold the SHIFT key down on the keyboard.
• While holding down the SHIFT key, use the mouse to click the refresh/reload icon in your browser. This will force the browser to go to the Internet and get a fresh copy of the page/data.
