A-2.5. Member Terms

Members shall be appointed to serve a four-year term. Individuals will normally serve only one term; however, at the discretion of the HHSC executive commissioner, a member may re-apply and be appointed for one additional term. These terms may be served consecutively.

The expiration of membership terms occurs on August 31st of each year. Regardless of the term limit, a member serves until his or her replacement has been appointed. This ensures sufficient, appropriate representation.
