Specialty Drugs

Specialty drugs meet all four of the criteria of TAC Section 354.1853 (Subchapter F: Specialty Drugs). The specialty drug list (SDL) identifies all drugs meeting these criteria. More information about the criteria and when HHSC publishes the SDL is part of the Specialty Drug Handbook.

Draft Specialty Drug List

Twice a year, HHSC reviews drugs meeting the rule criteria. This resulting list is published as the biannual draft SDL. HHSC welcomes comments from all stakeholders regarding the draft. Stakeholders propose additions to, or removals from, the draft using the Specialty Drug Submission Spreadsheet.

Final Specialty Drug List

A final SDL, incorporating approved public comment, is published twice a year:
