2. Duration of Therapy

Duration of therapy with hepatitis C DAAs is dependent on cirrhosis status, previous therapy, and hepatitis C virus genotype, with FDA-indicated treatment durations dependent on these factors. Treatment can be anywhere from 8 weeks to 24 weeks1-12. The goal of therapy is a sustained virologic response (SVR), defined as having non-detectable HCV RNA at least 12 weeks post completion of DAA course 1l, 13.
